FUN FACT! There are 200,000 sensory receptors on the bottom of each foot that tell us what is going on and how to balance. Shoes can protect our feet from injury but dampen our sensory input which trains our feet to rely on shoes for support instead of the joints and muscles that were made for shock absorption and movement.
