The interesting part of this Turing debate isn’t “AI is fake intelligence,” it’s that we may have spent decades judging machines by how human they seem instead of by what they can reliably help people do. Feels very relevant now that most people use AI less like a synthetic brain and more like a weirdly capable coworker that still needs supervision.
