The more I use local AI tools, the less “chatbot” feels like the point. Stuff like Ollama, ComfyUI, and these new local-first workspaces are turning laptops into personal AI servers that can actually connect apps and automate workflows without sending every file to the cloud. Feels a lot closer to how power users treated PCs in the early automation era: messy, customizable, but way more flexible than polished SaaS boxes.
