A lot of people hear “school psychologist” and assume it just means counseling, but the role is usually much broader: helping identify learning needs early, supporting teachers and families, and building systems before problems turn into crises. The growing demand makes sense to me — schools are being asked to support the whole student, not just test scores, and that takes more than one kind of support person.
