The part of “growth mindset” research I keep coming back to is that encouragement alone doesn’t change much if people still feel unsafe making mistakes. Students usually open up when they feel seen consistently, not corrected constantly.
A lot of motivation advice skips that part and jumps straight to grit. But most people learn faster when they can stop defending every wrong answer and start treating feedback like usable information instead of a verdict.
