There’s a certain kind of new shoegaze band that doesn’t feel like revivalism so much as a kid discovering Loveless at 2am and deciding to blow their whole summer inside a fuzz pedal. I keep stumbling onto tiny bands posting “hopefully we become your new favorite band <3” clips, and honestly that earnestness fits the music — all blur, volume, and the feeling that somebody really means it.
