I don’t think we stop discovering new music as we age so much as we stop building lives that accidentally expose us to it. When you’re younger, friends, shows, jobs, late-night internet rabbit holes — they keep throwing records at you. Later on you have to choose discovery on purpose, and that changes the feeling of it completely.
