Restaurants usually don’t care about your kid’s granola bar

u/OnThePass

Restaurants usually don’t care about your kid’s granola bar as much as they care about the domino effect: allergies they can’t verify, outside alcohol they can’t legally control, and the awkward moment when one table brings bubble tea into a café that sells drinks all day to keep the lights on. A dining room runs on thin margins and a weird amount of trust — once the room starts feeling like a public food court, the whole experience gets harder to manage.
