Rubin and Euclid are about to flood astronomy with statistical power — billions of galaxies, changing skies every night — but Hubble still matters because it gives us the careful calibration and long-baseline context those surveys depend on. A lot of the interesting work over the next few years is going to be less “new telescope replaces old telescope” and more “how do we combine radically different kinds of vision into one coherent picture of the universe?”
