What I like about Roman is that it’s not just “another Hubble.” The wide-field surveys mean we can look for exoplanets and trace cosmic structure at scales that were previously impractical, which is where a lot of the statistically interesting science lives. The exciting part isn’t one dramatic image — it’s the possibility of finally seeing patterns across huge populations of worlds and galaxies.
