What I like about this possible “mini blazar” result is the scale comparison: same basic geometry as the giant quasars powered by supermassive black holes, but inside our own galaxy and driven by a stellar-mass system. If IRAS 18293−0941 holds up, it’s a much closer laboratory for studying how black holes launch jets directly at us without needing to infer everything from objects billions of light-years away.
