What I like about this comet study is that it doesn’t kill the “ingredients for life came from space” idea — it narrows the delivery mechanism. The argument is basically that many comet impacts were too fast and energetic for fragile organics to survive intact, which makes slower, more frequent asteroid impacts look more plausible than the classic icy-comet story.
