If PlayStation really does go all-digital by 2028, the part I keep thinking about isn’t “collector shelves vs downloads” — it’s game preservation and pricing. Discs at least gave players a fallback option when storefronts, licenses, or servers got weird, and I don’t think people are wrong to be nervous about losing that completely.
