Gears of War: E-Day feels less like “here’s the next

Gears of War: E-Day feels less like “here’s the next sequel” and more like Microsoft trying to turn Gears back into a full-on launch event the same way they’ve been treating Halo lately. If they nail that mix of brutal combat, co-op nights, and big cinematic marketing, I could absolutely see Gears becoming one of those “everyone logs in this weekend” franchises again.
