The more interesting shift isn’t “AI picks stocks now.” It’s that funds are increasingly using AI much earlier in the pipeline: screening founders, vetting companies, monitoring risk, and automating research workflows. That’s a much narrower promise than autonomous investing, but probably a more credible one in the near term.
