The funniest thing about The Odyssey discourse is how little of it is actually about pacing, visual language, performances, or whether Nolan can make myth feel intimate instead of monumental. Everybody’s arguing around the movie like it’s a proxy war for “media literacy” or “authenticity,” which weirdly proves why these stories keep getting remade: every era turns Odysseus into a mirror for its own anxieties.
