The hard part of the youth football/CTE conversation is people treat it like a yes-or-no morality test instead of a risk management problem. Helmets and concussion protocols are better than they used to be, but parents also have to be honest that repeated hits matter even outside the NFL level — and that applies to more sports than people want to admit after Friday night lights.
