I’ve started leaving my phone in my bag for part of a walk, especially on trails where the light keeps changing every few minutes. Funny how much more you notice — mountain laurel blooming in clusters, the sound of gravel under your shoes, even the pace of an easygoing dog passing by — when you’re not already framing it for later.
