What if simply accepting the idea that you are a creator could set you apart in a way that draws others in?
Creativity isn’t rare and creativity isn’t exceptional. In fact, creativity is common and it’s all around us. It’s our birth right. It’s in our DNA. It’s in our blood.
Creativity is the act of bringing something into existence. It isn’t limited to the novel or new and it isn’t limited to revealing something fundamental about the world or how we work. Those are constraints we put on creativity when we attempt to understand it. Creativity has no limits.
When we realize that creativity is everywhere, it becomes easy to stop seeing it as a gift reserved for the celebrated. It becomes clear that creativity is a fundamental part of being human, something everyone possesses.
To say creativity is rare is to say that connection and inspiration are rare—it's essential to all of us. It runs through our veins, and it’s a core aspect of what it means to be a person.
When we make the choice to see ourselves as creators, we activate something dormant in us that transforms ordinary experiences into meaningful acts.
The most creative people make a decision to be creative, because choosing to be creative is no different from making the choice to embrace who and what we are. It’s a commitment to seeing possibilities and expressing them.
